The front door opens on to a hall with a wide spiral staircase rising right to the top of the house. The rooms leading off it are all comfortably furnished in traditional English style.
The bedroom has a king-size bed craftsman-made out of local Hampshire oak from which you can watch TV and/or listen to the hi-fi/radio.
There is a spacious bathroom complete with shower/bath, basin, wc, washing machine and exercise bike.
Above the bedroom is the sitting room, with a further hi-fi. A large window overlooks the old roofs of Little Minster St. with the cathedral behind.
There is a fully-equipped modern kitchen with dining table and chairs; gas hob, fan-assisted electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, toaster, food processor and blender/smoothie maker. There are ample supplies of herbs and spices so please help yourselves, and browse through our cookery books. At the top of the house is the garden room with glass sliding doors leading out on to the attractive roof terrace with magnificent wide views over the cathedral, a mere stone's throw away. From here you can also admire the roofscape of the city dating back to medieval times, the fine fourteenth-century Winchester College chapel tower and, on either side of the cathedral, St Giles' and St Catherine's hills, an easy walk from the house. This terrace is a great place to eat out in fine weather, often to the sound of the cathedral bells.
